Crypto price alerts in Telegram, without coding a bot

By the Crypto Alerts & Alarms team · Published 28 October 2026 · Facts checked 28 October 2026

You can get crypto price alerts in Telegram in three ways: start a ready-made alert bot, connect an alert app that also sends to Telegram, or code a bot of your own. Only the third needs programming. In Crypto Alerts & Alarms, you choose Telegram on an alert, tap Open Telegram and press Start in the chat with its bot; every alert you send there then arrives as a short Telegram message as well as on your phone.

How to connect Crypto Alerts & Alarms to Telegram

This route uses a bot too. The difference is that you write no code and set nothing up in Telegram beyond pressing Start: the app does the linking.

  1. In the app, start a new alert or open one you have. Under Send to, tap Telegram, or tap All and then Set up next to Telegram.
  2. The Connect Telegram sheet opens: “Get your alerts as Telegram messages from our bot.” Tap Open Telegram. It opens your chat with @SentinelPriceAlertsBot, which Telegram shows as Crypto Alerts & Alarms. The username keeps the app’s earlier name, Sentinel.
  3. Tap Start in that chat. That hands the bot your one-time code, which tells it the chat belongs to your account.
  4. Come back to the app. The sheet confirms by itself and reads Telegram connected, and the bot answers “Connected.” in the chat.
  5. Tap Send a test message and watch it arrive.

The code works once and expires after ten minutes; asking again replaces it. It travels in a standard Telegram start link, which Telegram’s developer docs describe as a way to pass “an authentication token to connect the user’s Telegram account to their account on another platform”. Telegram on a laptop? The sheet also shows a line such as /start 7KX2-9QPA (yours will differ) to copy and send to the bot from there.

After that, Telegram is a choice on each alert. In the app’s words, “Set a channel up once and every alert can use it.” Under Send to, Telegram is on or off for that alert, while the push to your phone always stays on. Alerts are checked on our servers, so they reach Telegram with the app closed.

What an alert looks like in Telegram

The same code on our servers writes the Telegram message and the push notification: a bold first line with the pair and the direction, then the move. There is no link, no button and no preview, and the text is in English.

The message templates, with example prices.
AlertFirst line, in boldThen
Rises above a priceBTC/USDT is UPFrom $83,211.90 to $83,314.30.
Above $83,230.00
Falls below a priceBTC/USDT is DOWNFrom a starting price to the new one, then “Below” and your level
Percentage moveETH/USDT lost -5.12% (or “surged +”)From $4,000.00 to $3,795.20.

Prices under $1 keep up to four significant figures, so a Solana token at $0.00003046 is not rounded to zero. An alert set to ring as an alarm still sends its Telegram message; the ringing happens on the phone.

What the bot sees, and what you never hand over

Telegram’s FAQ says a bot sees “your public name, username, and profile pictures” and the messages you send it, not your phone number unless you share it (checked 28 October 2026). Our bot stores your Telegram account id, to know where to send, and your username, which the sheet shows as “Connected as”. The sheet’s promise: “Only your alerts. Nothing else, and /stop ends it.”

Connecting takes no exchange API key, no exchange login and no wallet: the app reads public prices and never trades. Open the bot from the app’s button rather than by searching Telegram, and if you look it up by hand, check the username is @SentinelPriceAlertsBot. How to tell a real alert from a fake one.

Binance pairs, Solana tokens and DEX Screener

Binance’s FAQ on price alerts, updated 6 January 2026, describes notifications from its app and desktop app and does not mention Telegram (checked 28 October 2026). In Crypto Alerts & Alarms you pick the Binance pair you watch, such as BTC/USDT, and send its alert to Telegram. Pairs on Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit and KuCoin work the same way: over 5,000 pairs and more than 1,200 coins across the five. Binance’s own alerts, set up and fixed.

A Solana token is found by name or mint address, once it has a live pool on PumpSwap, Raydium, Orca or Meteora DLMM, and its alert goes to Telegram like any other (alerts by mint address). If you follow tokens on DEX Screener, its own bot alerts on the pairs listed there: DEX Screener price alerts, plus an alarm.

Give the alert chat its own, louder sound

A Telegram alert is an ordinary Telegram notification. It plays at your phone’s notification volume, which Android keeps separate from the alarm volume, and it stays quiet when the chat is muted. To make the alert chat stand out:

  1. Make a tone that is loud and unlike your others. Telegram turns a short audio file or voice message into a notification tone: tap it in a chat and choose “Save for Notifications”. Its 2022 announcement said tones could be audio files or voice messages under 5 seconds and up to 300 KB.
  2. Set it for the bot’s chat only. Telegram says tones can be set “for individual chats”, from Settings > Notifications and Sounds or from the chat itself.
  3. Check the chat is not muted, and that Telegram’s notifications are on with Importance at “High” or greater, as its FAQ advises for Android.
  4. Turn up the notification volume. Google’s Android Help shows separate notification and alarm sliders when you press a volume button and tap the menu; some of its steps work only on Android 12 and up.

A louder tone is still a notification. To be woken, set the alert to ring as a full-screen alarm, which rings through silent mode and sets the phone’s alarm volume to your level while it rings. How the alarm works.

Coding your own bot: when it makes sense

Telegram is plain about it: building a bot is “super-easy, but you will need at least some skills in computer programming.” @BotFather gives you a token, and “Everyone who has your token will have full control over your bot.” Your program must then fetch prices, spot crossings and keep running on its “owner’s server” (Telegram’s bot introduction, checked 28 October 2026).

That is worth it for logic of your own, such as an indicator. Crypto Alerts & Alarms alerts on price levels and percentage moves only, with no RSI or moving-average alerts, and sends to your own chat with its bot; for alerts posted into a group, Cryptocurrency Alerting and Coinalert.me describe group options.

Common questions

How do I get crypto price alerts in Telegram?

Start a ready-made alert bot, or connect an app that sends its alerts to Telegram. In Crypto Alerts & Alarms you tap Telegram under Send to on an alert, then Open Telegram, and press Start in the chat with @SentinelPriceAlertsBot; every alert you send there then arrives in Telegram as well as on your phone.

Can I get Binance price alerts in Telegram?

Binance’s own FAQ on price alerts describes notifications from its app and desktop app, and does not mention Telegram (checked 28 October 2026). Crypto Alerts & Alarms can watch a Binance pair such as BTC/USDT and send the alert to your Telegram.

Why is my Telegram bot not responding?

A Telegram bot can only reply while the program behind it is running on its owner’s server. For Crypto Alerts & Alarms, unblock the bot if you blocked it, then open the Connect Telegram sheet again from an alert’s Send to line: it makes a fresh code, and Open Telegram takes it to the bot. If it still says nothing, email support@appsfromzero.com.

How do I make Telegram alerts louder?

Give the alert chat a tone of its own, check that the chat is not muted, and turn up the notification volume. To be woken, use the app’s full-screen alarm instead, since a Telegram message arrives as a notification.

Do I still get a push notification if I connect Telegram?

Yes. An alert you send to Telegram is also sent to the phone the app is on, as a push notification or as the full-screen alarm if you chose it.
